I’m originally from the west suburbs of Chicago. I am driven to create work inspired by habits, rituals and shared interactions. I loves to create families of pots, and endeavors to make sure that each pot has a friend. Currently, I teach ceramics and sculpture at Dassel-Cokato High School in Cokato, MN and runs her own small business-- Teesdale Studios. By using both the wheel and handbuilt elements, I satisfy my needs to meditate and ritualistically build my clay work. I believe that artwork carries an energy and mark of the creator, so the more time and fingermarks I can leave within my work--the more powerful the piece is to me. I also want the people who buy my work to continue using it, so all my shapes and designs are based around uses in the home.
